Welcome to the NAUDER WAY
The Hidden Life of QiGong and TaiJi
Have you ever found yourself admiring a work of art, architecture or music and saying ”Oh, that’s beautiful”, having no knowledge of the source or the story behind it?
We form opinions based on our experience and interpret the objects, situations and people purely through our own lens. At the same time we realise that there is more to what we see than to what it appears.
This is QiGong and Taiji. The movements of these two appear slow and inactive, yet during every TaiJi and QiGong practice the whole body receives a good workout.
What we see is only a fraction of the changes happening within.
While visiting Edvard Munch’s exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London, we were struck by how our judgement can mislead us into creating a story that doesn’t necessarily reflect reality. Munch’s story was tragic and full of upheaval and yet he created paintings full of beauty and ideal harmony. That led us into a reflection whilst visiting Salisbury’s Cathedral. What we see today is the result of dedication and vision of those who designed and built it. The untold and hidden endless stories of those involved are quiet, untold and unexpressed, yet their input we admire today. So, in short, we all have these untold stories. Our bodies are at different levels of fitness and health based on the life we have led. The desire is to live on. By communicating, listening and tuning into our body, we will ALWAYS be led to the answers that are good for us , our health and spiritual growth and expression. Munch has found Art, Lao Tzu- The Dao, we have found QiGong.
What have you found?
Whatever your story is, you can choose how the story evolves from your thoughts and actions in the present.
A little challenge for us all this month is to decide how we write our life’s story going forward.
This reminds us of a quote by James Allen:
“ Every being lives in his own mental world; his joys are creations of his own mind, and are dependent upon their mind upon their existence. In the midst of the world, darken with many sins and sorrows, in which the majority lives, there abides another world, lighted up with shining virtues and unpolluted joy, in which the perfect one lives. This world can be found and entered, and the way to it is by self-control and moral excellence.”
Self-control is mastered with the practice of Taiji and QiGong under the guidance of Daoist masters like Lao Tzu who realised that our moral inclination is pivotal in our ability to break through the barriers that we create for ourselves.
We are halfway through the QiGong for Self Mastery course and I am over the moon to see the changes occurring in all of us participating in the course. It truly is a journey of discovery with many profound changes. Take this opportunity to find out more and put your name down for the upcoming new group in July. You will be amazed at the positive changes it brings.
SAY YES TO LIFE AND GOOD HEALTH
